I can't decide between a FEG high-power clone or a Walther P1 (not a P38 but the alloy framed post war model)
Anyone care to comment on the pros/cons or either?
Thanks!

If you want 10-13 round magazines instead of 8, a steel frame over an alloy, a mag release in the frame instead of the butt and the ability to utilize Browning parts, I would consider the FEG.
The Walther is nice too, but IMO, just not as practical.

I couldn't bring myself to get a clone HP after seeing the quality of a Browning. I bought my HP used to save a few $$$.

I also have a P1, nice little shooter. Makes a good truck gun as they sell for $300 or so.

Get both, it's the ARFcom way.

BTW I have a Browning HP and a P1. Love them both.

I have a FN high power and a P1. My HP is .40 and the P1 is 9mm.

The P1 is one of the easiest to shoot 9mm I've ever seen. Accuracy is good, the gun feels good and looks great. Its a sexy design.

My HP is very good quality, accurate and nicely fitted.

These are the top of the line in '30s auto pistols but the P1 is a double action and the HP is SA.

If I had to choose between a clone HP and a surplus P1, I'd wait, because you'll want to plate the slide on the P1, in the surplus guns its parkerized. If you just want a shooter its fine.

A genuine FN HP is not so much more expensive than a clone.
