i just sold a glock 19 and all it's mags and a holster to a friend. i live in NY so if i want to buy one again i have to go on the hunt for prebans again. currently i have 2 nighthawk custom 1911s which are a great fit for my hands. problem is, i've been thinking of selling them and buying 2 pistols that are less expensive and more in the realm of beretta m9, glock 17 or sig . with the extra money i could buy mags, buy a noveske upper i have on layaway and a scope for it.
i love the feel of 1911s and the trigger. i want to love glocks because theyre so tough and dependable and really like the new texturing on the newer glocks and also ove the feel of the m9 although i've never fired one. what should i do? |

i know. i just thought about it. i remember how bad it felt to trade a wilson i once had. i'll save up and buy a glock or berette in the future. i held my 1911s for 2 seconds and made up my mind. Good decision –– 1911's are the way to go and as I understand it, Nighthawks are top of the line pistols. |

| I will second or third the suggestion of getting a CZ-75. I have 1911's, Glock 19 and a CZ-75 Compactn and many others. The CZ is probably one of the nicest "feeling" hanguns I own. It just "fits". Also, CZ's are built like tanks and gobble up anything I have ever put up the pipe. |

Try an FN FNP-9 instead. Much better ergos than any Glock. can't do the hicaps, im in NY. So, just run the 10 round mags. no thanks. i can't get past the fact that the original mags hold 5-7 more rounds. 1 or 2 is fine but 10 rds in a gun that holds 15 or 17. can't do it. |

selling both 1911s will get a credit card and taxes owed, paid off, plus buy me a m&p45 or g19 and mags and 2000rds of ammo and holsters. i'll sorely miss them if i do sell them but i'll have some breathing room in my finances and make my credit better. i'll also be able to shoot alot more and take a class. 1911s will always be around. i have a great dealer too. if i sell 1 1911 i can pay off my card and keep the other 1911 but will have to save for ammo and a class.
selling them hurts but paying bills and having ammo and taking a class feels great. aaaagggghhhh! |
