I am looking at either a CZ75 or a Springfield XD9, please post your opinions on looks and function.

Two very good guns but with vastly different personalities. Neither can be faulted for balance, accuracy, reliability, longevity or maintainability.

I agree with sig_230. Can't go wrong with either, that one's gonna have to be personal choice.

Maybe you should add a poll to this thread.
I agree with sig_230 and New4John, try to shoot both of them and then decide from which one fits you best.

I like the CZ75B. It has external safety and an exposed hammer, and is a world class gun. There is also a 22LR conversion kit that available from the importer called the Cadet.

I agree with fijfi- Create a poll. People like polls.
I tend to lean towards a nice solid steel framed gun, but in this case it's a tough call, as I've shot the XD in both .40 and 9mm and was quite pleased with both.
