| Hey guys, finally i got my Kimber Ultra Ten CDP II to work properly. Great thanks to George Smith from EGW(http://www.egw-guns.com/egw.htm). Just to brief on the situation, i bought this first Kimber months ago and it never fired right since it's first day at the range. I send it back to Kimber and had the aluminum frame replaced but the last round was still jammed, it never get to go up the chamber. Kimber custom shop's guy told me to put in only 6 rds and fire it, then increase capacity over time, but hey...i didn't buy a 10 rounds gun to put 6 rounds in there you know. The BS alot about the problem due to the gun's compact size, aluminum frame, lubrication...etc..Those sounded like crabs to me, especially when they said :"if it still happen, i don't know what else to say". But guess what, George Smith (Evolution Gun Work founder) was able to fixed it in minutes when i decided to drop by the shop while i was in the area this morning. I was really impressed on how he analyze and hand on with the right solution. I am not trying to put an ad here for him but he really DESERVE the credit. My other race gun STI Competitor was needed a tune up to work with minor load and he was able to get it done within hour while it took Dawson Precision one week and still couldn't get it done. Of course, i do major load now so it doesn't matter any more, but the story to tell how amazing this guy is with pistols. No wonder EGW is once again in the gun magazine article. |
