I posted this in gunsmithing and trouble shooting several days ago, figured I would try a more visited forum
Picked up a police trade in 5906, carried a lot, fired very little. Has lots of rub marks. I would like to glass bead the whole thing, but can't figure out how to get the extractor pin out. Is it peened in place? Does it have a groove that locks into the extractor itself? I have pushed with a punch and gave a gentle tap or two, but not knowing exactly what keeps it in, I didn't want to go too far and damage it. The the frame is completely apart, just waiting to figure this out to make her all pretty again. |

egunparts.com might have an exploded drawing. Yep, they did. Thanks! Seems to just be a straight pin. I have driven enough roll pins and such, it just felt pretty damn solid when I tapped it lightly. I guess I will have to put a little more to it this time. Wish me luck
