I live in Michigan and am looking to trade my G23 for a 92FS, do i need to get a new handgun permit for the 92FS?

I know this might have to go in the hometown form but it doesnt look that that place gets too much traffic

Sorry can't help with the permit question, but have you ever concealed the Beretta 92?  It's a HUGE handgun. I was issued the 96 and would never dream of carrying that thing off duty due to it's size and thickness.  In fact the G23 is what I had been carrying off duty since I was issued the Sig P229R.

No plans to conceal it

The OP is referring to the handgun purchase permits they have to get in MI, not a CCW/CHL.

@ the OP - best to ask in the MI HTF, as this is an issue unique to your state.

If you don't have CPL which replaces the mandatory purchase permit, yes you must get a purchase permit for each pistol purchase.

Every time you get a new handgun, you must have a permit.
The only reason why I'm getting CPL so that I don't have to make an appointment & visit police station.
