| Have only owed revolvers utill yesterday and bought a Sig sp2022 and was wondering if it would hurt to leave magazine loaded |
|
Its the number of cycles you put on a spring that wears it out, not whether you leave it compressed or uncompressed, so long as the amount of compression is within spec for the spring. Magazines are designed with springs that remain in spec when fully loaded.
In otherwords, its fine. Almost every magazine I own is loaded, and I've been shooting some of them for 9+ years now. No problems. |

No problems. What he said. Every time you flex a piece of metal, it forms hairline cracks that weaken it. If you flex it once and leave it that way, you only form one set of cracks. (IF you do not over-compress the spring.) |

No problems. One more, in case you had any doubts. Cycling wears the spring out; leaving a mag full or empty is perfectly fine. |
