Any thoughts on this wheel gun.  I'm looking for a second CCW type of gun.  Maybe put Crimson Trace grips on them also.

What type of prices are typical?

You guys like them, hate them.  Well made?

Thanks in advance.

I had one several year ago in .357 with a 3" barrel.  It was an excellent pistol and if my brother hadn't have liked it even more it would probably still be my carry gun.

I liked mine -- until I shot it with .357Mag 125gr loads...I carried the 2.25" barrel version and it kicks like a bitch.

The webbing of my hand hurt for a good 10 minutes after each 25rds.

I had to rent the DE .50 to shake it off...

I also had the "shorty" and liked it, but mine came with the factory Magna-porting, while nice to shoot, the muzzle flash at night was quite excessive.

Ruger SP101s are built like a tank & they're heavy as hell. Accuracy is usually average, occasionally better.

Unless you plan on shooting .357s out of it, I'd pass for an airweight gun for carry.

Thanks everyone for their input.

Bob, I was planning to load 38's into them.  I figured that the 357 would be built to a high tolerance.  Maybe load 38 +p.  You are right, they are heavy.

I carry one mostly in summer because it's really easy to conceal and it doesn't care about sweat. It does have a bit of kick, but it doesn't bother me much. I carry it in a pocket holster, and almost forget it's there usually.
