An FEG 1911? I've never seen one, but I sure would like to! If you mean an FEG Hi Power clone, that's a great price for a nice gun, especially if it's the SA version.

Thats a High Power. Not a 1911, but nonetheless a classic John Moses Browning design. Yes, you did good on the price.

Its not a Hi-Power either. Its more closely related to the S&W 39/59 series of guns. Any Hi-Power similarity is purely cosmetic. You still did good on the price.

Yeah, that's an FEG KKG.  It's an off-license rip-off of a BHP, in .45, with large liberties taken with the action (thus the similarity to the 39).  Yes, it's a mongrel of a gun, but that doesn't mean it won't work or be well worth $100.

All that said, FEG is not a "junk" maker, they do reputable work.  They are just that kind of skirt-the-laws kinda ex-Soviet block maker.  For $100, that's a great deal, even the import price was north of $200.  Find the right ammo that works well in it and it should work fine.  I think there are even aftermarket mags for it available if you hunt around.

Feg DID nice work.  Company went belly up a year or so ago.

Have one of their 9mm Hi Power clones.  Nice gun for the money.

Different animal but I had a .380 FEG that was the best .380 I ever had. Gave it to a friend going to Iraq.
