| Does anyone have any experience with good single stack hi-cap 1911 mags (10 rounds+)? If so what kind of mags where they and how much did you pay. Thanks. |

I have only played with 2 good hicap 1911 single stack mags. The Metgar 11 rounds work great and do not command much of a premium say $25. Then there is the 1911 drum mag that sells for more then $500 and you never see up for sale. Get the Wilson/ed brown 10 rounders they work great and can be found for under $30. NoKarma |

Kimber makes a good 10rd mag too. 10-11rds is as high as you want to go after that the rounds start to tip in the mag, and springs have trouble feeding and that leads to problems. I forgot about 10rd mags simply because there arn't a lot of good options for web pouches for them. 8Rd is OK, Eagle dropped a really nice 4 11rd mag pouch. |

I have a few 11 rounders in stainless, made in Italy, purchased before the ban. I was impressed enough to find a few more after the ban to purchase. None are branded, but a couple are stamped "Made in Italy", the others are unmarked but are identical in look and function...not U.S.A. brand, these actually work. |
