Isn't the new LED version of TLR-2 pretty bright?

yes, they claim 135 lumens, but it looks brighter than that to me.

That's what I have on my nightstand handgun.  It is the best handgun weapon light, but I'm not sure if its the brightest.

If by "best" you mean most expensive, then yes, I believe you are correct.

TLR-1 with the new C4 bulb at ombexpress for $80 is hard to beat.

By "best" I mean "best overall."

+1 & right now they have free shipping for orders over $50.  Cost me $10 for shipping so the light for $80 & free shipping is a hell of a deal.  The Surefires are 3 times the price & aren't any brighter.

the C4 LED produces 135 lumens, but the surefire is probably more durable.

Dose any one know if the TLR-1 will mount to the rail on a Sig P226?

Thanks

My Surefire mounts cracked and chipped while on my Sig 1911. Surefire told me it was normal after I sent them photos. They also said there were sending me a new part, which never happened. My TLR1s have never cracked because the mounting brackets are metal, not plastic. I have also let them sit in water overnight, and beat on them pretty hard during training and competitions while sitting on my M&P9. I have never had an issue whatsoever. The TLR is an awesome value and a hell of a light. I would rather have one then a Surefire, regardless of price. The fact that it is less $$ makes it even sweeter.
