In question to people under the age of 21 owning handguns in Texas, it is my understanding that, persons under the age of 21 may not purchase them directly from a FFl, but they may be gifted to said person, or purchased privaately from one individual.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
The only reason I ask is I am looking to expand the WWII collection, and would like to avoid anything that may get me in major trouble

In the vast majority of states you may purchase a firearm (handgun or longarm) from a private party at age 18. TX is one of those states.
