I just bought a NAA .32 Guardian pistol for my girlfriend and she can barley pull the trigger. I looked on line and it appears that it has a 10-13lbs trigger pull. Is there anyway to get a lighter trigger spring installed? has anyone else had this issue? I have not contacted NAA yet. I like the gun personally, very accurate and solid. She is disappointed because initially i was going to get her the keltec but I splurged and got her the "better" one. Please help out!

Being DAO, you have to expect the trigger to be fairly heavy. And the Guardian uses a fairly small hammer, so I'm guessing maybe it has to use a heavy spring to compensate for the lack of inertia.

I have the same pistol, bought it used at a local shop a few years ago. Honestly I get light enough primer strikes sometimes mine doesn't fire. I don't trust it enough to carry it right now. I need to send it in to NAA to be tuned up, but haven't gotten to it yet. What I'm getting at there is you might not want to try to lighten it up.

Get a couple A-Zooms and let her practice dry firing it some. She'll get used to the trigger, guaranteed. My girlfriend is a small girl with small hands, and she can handle my NAA Guardian alright.

Sorry you didn't ask about it on here before purchase.
That's one of the major complaints about the gun, is the awful trigger pull.
(One of the first reviews I ever read said it was "a trigger pull only a lawyer could love.")
If you get it lightened, you run the risk of light strikes, which is bad in a self-defense weapon.

She probably won't like the recoil either.

But, if she can build the hand strength, it is a decent gun.

I am going to pick her up some hand strengtheners after work. If she does not get used to it after a few months I'm going to get her a j-frame.

If Scarlett Johansson can use one, so can your girlfriend.
