It is looking like I will likely have about $2K to use towards my next purchase(s). The dilemma that I am facing is this: Do I get a number of different guns or one really nice gun? Right now I am looking at getting, from CDNN, the following: a Sig P6, a H&K USP .40 (Variant 3), and a Beretta 92F (not my favorite gun in the world but I carried one in the Army). On the other hand I am thinking about getting a nice tactical 1911 (eyeing the Kimber Warrior currently) and alot of other stuff. What would you do? What other large ticket item guns would you recommend I take a look at? I am looking mainly towards .45 ACP if I go with one gun. Thank you, CSP |

well, if you want to put $2K to firearms, specifically, a handgun then at least the big part is outta the way what do YOU like? any particular platforms you prefer or just like? personally, i'd lean to the really nice 1911....but if you have $2K, it would NOT be a kimber warrior (heck, i'd consider the SA MC Operator over the warrior nowadays...) i'd look to a semi-full custom 1911--a nighthawk (probably used), older Wilson Combat, RRA, or Les Baer, or Springer Professional |

Semi-custom 1911. When else will you have another $2,000 available to buy one? I've decided I won't buy another OTC 1911. They're too hit and miss as far as quality & reliability. If i did, it would be the SA MC Operator. ![]() The 10-8 forum has a thread about the Kimber Warrior. Kimber Warrior No Longer Recommended? |
Quality over quantity, I'd rather have ONE nice pistol than a few OK pistols. I've sold off two, three and four pistols at a time to buy one nice 1911. I concur with the above, get a NICE 1911 - as stated not the Warrior |
