It is looking like I will likely have about $2K to use towards my next purchase(s).  The dilemma that I am facing is this:  Do I get a number of different guns or one really nice gun?

Right now I am looking at getting, from CDNN, the following:  a Sig P6, a H&K USP .40 (Variant 3), and a Beretta 92F (not my favorite gun in the world but I carried one in the Army).

On the other hand I am thinking about getting a nice tactical 1911 (eyeing the Kimber Warrior currently) and alot of other stuff.

What would you do?  What other large ticket item guns would you recommend I take a look at?

I am looking mainly towards .45 ACP if I go with one gun.

Thank you,

CSP

well, if you want to put $2K to firearms, specifically, a handgun then at least the big part is outta the way

what do YOU like? any particular platforms you prefer or just like?

personally, i'd lean to the really nice 1911....but if you have $2K, it would NOT be a kimber warrior (heck, i'd consider the SA MC Operator over the warrior nowadays...)

i'd look to a semi-full custom 1911--a nighthawk (probably used), older Wilson Combat, RRA, or Les Baer, or Springer Professional

Go with a semi custom 1911 like Alpha Ghost, and SGB said.

You won't regret it.

The more the merrier.  Buy what you can in regards to quantiy.  Later you can buy quality 1911.  A nice Sig Sauer P220 tactical, combat, or even a match model.  How about a HK .45 ACP pistol like a tactical or combat model.  A Sig Sauer P226 9mm is nice and finally a Beretta 92F just because.

Save up a little longer and get a full auto MAC 10. Then just before you buy the MAC 10, save up just a little bit longer and put a suppressor on it. :)

If I had $2K to spend I would by a Glock 21,Remington 870P and use the rest to start a kick-ass-AR-build.

If I was going to spend it all on one handgun it would be a Wilson CQB.

Is the Warrior the only 70 series Kimber makes at the moment?

Semi-custom 1911.

When else will you have another $2,000 available to buy one?

I've decided I won't buy another OTC 1911.  They're too hit and miss as far as quality & reliability.  If i did, it would be the SA MC Operator.

The 10-8 forum has a thread about the Kimber Warrior.

Kimber Warrior No Longer Recommended?

Quality over quantity, I'd rather have ONE nice pistol than a few OK pistols.  I've sold off two, three and four pistols at a time to buy one nice 1911.  I concur with the above, get a NICE 1911 - as stated not the Warrior

I found a used Wilson Combat Elite (5" with railed frame) for $2K negotiable.  The guy knows I am waiting until I have the cash.  Maybe I will be able to get it.

Thanks guys.

That would be an excellent choice!
