Is there anything you can do to make the trigger better on this gun?

I had one in that got much better after 500 rounds and some polishing.  It is still has a heavy trigger pull compared to most pistols.  After some practice it will shoot decent.

People who buy sigmas don't (or shouldn't) be the type that focus on how the trigger feels.  Come on, it's a $300 gun.  I have two http://img123.imageshack.us/img123/8317/beerchugvo7.gif

Here's mine on top of my mini "MAC" from masterpiece arms.

Try googling Smith and Wesson Sigma trigger job. Remove cross pin at rear of frame allowing you to lift that whole unit out of the frame. Remove the largest spring. Leave the two springs that are one inside the other alone. Reassemble. Trigger pull will be much better. That's about all you can do for it.

I may have to try that. Thanks. I carry this concealed sometimes. I have thought of getting a 1911 but don't wanna spend the money on higher priced .45 ammo.

I would NOT do the spring removal thing on a serious carry gun. The trigger will smooth out over time on its own, but there is evidence that playing with the springs will induce malfunctions after awhile.
