I'm going to be in the market for my first .40. I would like the pistol to be all steel with a great rep.... any suggestions? Thanks Bri |
| If I were going to get an all steel pistol in .40 cal, I would look at trying to find a Sig P-229ST or P-226 ST model. Aside from those, the Smith&Wesson 4006 is a fairly decent pistol (not my favorite). I think the CZ series 40 cal pistols are steel framed, but I'm not sure. |
Because I have more poly handguns than steel, I think all steels guns are better looking and its only going to be a rangle gun. To give a bit of background, I'm turning 40 in a few months and having my wife (Let) buy me .40 cal. would be a very cool gift. Bri |
So does it really just need to be metal framed? As said above, a CZ75 would be an excellent choice. They are steel but come in other finishes as well as stainless. I think the .40sw stainless has ambi safety. |
I have a 75 in .40 - the one from IMI as pictured above. Mine is a Jericho 941F. Any of the 75s are great. |
Somewhat close to the CZ is the Baby Desert Eagle. It is manufactured by IMI and marketed in the US by the gold ol' folks that brought you the Desert Eagle. |
