I’m pretty sure they can’t be used in a P229. The problem is that P226 screws are longer than P229 screws, thus a P226 screw will extend into the P229’s mag well and interfere with the magazine. I’d think P226 screw could be shortened to work, if that’s all you’ve got. Note that very old P226’s used a different thread, so those screws are totally unusable in a P229. |
