Saw one in my LGS today while picking up a new Galco holster and some CLP-BF.

The weird placement and small size (read: wimpy) safety turned me off a bit, but the size and feel were generally good for a summer carry piece or BUG.

Opinions?

i had one of the early models that were called the "stealth"  they were imported and sold by heritage arms......mine shot well, when it would run.   there is no way that i would give what wilson is asking for these.  i bought mine new about 8 years ago and i gave like 325

Guys.  I tried one of these about 3 weeks ago when a Wilson rep had a demo gun at my local range.  I shot a couple of mags out of his and decided that I had to have one.  So I looked on Gunbroker and bought one for way less than current MSRP.

After I bid on it I started researching them.  Yeah I know, I should research first then buy.  Based on what I read I was concerned that I had pissed away $500 plus bucks.

Well it arrived Friday and I took it to the range today.  I field stripped it and lubed it prior to the range.  I shot 100 rounds and had absolutely zero problems.  No failures to feed, no failures to extract.  100 perfect rounds and those were the very first 100 rounds.

This gun is sweet.  It has a fixed barrel that is way more accurate than I am.  With the gas system the recoil is very managable

For those that are comparing the Wilson version to a previous Heritage Stealth are making a mistake.  Yes, it is the same design, but Wilson builds this one and they make sure that the gun works.  After the range i again field stripped it and didn't find excessive build up in the gas system.

Size wise it is very close to the 6 round single stack Kahr P9 covert, approx. 3/8" longer barrel, grip same length and the width is 0.1 inch wider.  It's nearly identical to the Skyy CPX-1 or the KelTec P11.  Except this one is reliable.

The price on this gun is comparable to a Kahr and less than many other top of the line compact 9mms.  If you want a $300 gun, look at the KelTec or Sccy's (formerly Skyy) but if you can afford it the Wilson ADP is a nice gun and should be considered.
