Anybody got experence with these? I've heard they use them at gunsite which is a great endorsment to me. I'd like to get some for my xd 9 cause the stock sights suck cause there set up for 6 o'clock point of aim. I want point of aim! http://xssights.com/store/handgun.html |

Here's my patented "Why I love XS Big Dots" rant: Why Big Dot Sights? I've done a lot of Force on Force exercises and scenarios as a student and as a roleplayer. We've used converted Glock 17s - 2 of them with Big Dots and one of them with Meprolight night sights. By the end of day 1, NO ONE wants to use the standard night sights. Under stress (even the mock stress of FOF) the eye has a LOT of trouble focusing on your front sight. With the Big Dot, it provides a MUCH better reference point for where your gun is oriented and where you're going to make hits. Note: I posted this response in your other thread as well: "The white dot is a plastic / polymer. I have not had any issue with it changing color after cleaning. I use CLP and Brake Cleaner. I wouldn't deliberately SOAK it in CLP but I haven't seen any issues with mine." -Mike |
