Saw the new 500 S&W today. 2,400 ft lbs muzzle energy. Got me wondering how that compares to a 12ga slug. Anyone know?

Well, the only slugs I use are 3", 1 1/4oz, Federal Classics. 1,600fps*-3,000ft lbs*. Not sure what the tested bbl lenght was.
