I'm looking for a EAA Witness 10mm & cannot find one. If anyone sees one in a gunstore, PLEASE shoot me an IM so I can arrange a transfer. The local distributors tell me they've had theirs on backorder for several months....... Thanks!

| I hope you find one. Mine has been the best $300 I have ever spent. It shoots just as good as most any other pistol I have shot with the exception of my 1911s and my CZs but is still shoots great. The Wonder finish is the way to go. The finish on the blue ones like mine is OK but not as durable. I have thought about getting a polymer one several times. |

If you get one, respring it heavier if you shoot the heavier loads. The recoil spring is set-up for the .40 S&W level downloads. If you run standard 10mm through it without changing springs, it will beat itself to death. Wonderfinsh is a hard finish that is scratch resistant, but it doesn't do well agaisnt corrosion. |
All you really need is a recoil buffer and a 20 lb hammer spring. You can leave the recoil spring factory or go up just a little. The recoil spring doesnt do much to prevent the slide impacting the frame, despite the common misconception that it does. In a CZ or clone all a heavy recoil spring is going to do is hammer the hell out of your slide stop pin. |

Curious why? I have never bought a firearm off gunbroker, although I did from CDNN w/o issue, but am curious if there is some kind of issue with GB.COM. Just looking for information here.... I am not giving you a hard time. I get pretty descent prices locally, so I have not had the need to use GB.com, but sometimes I see some good deals that are hard to pass up. Again, just trying to find out it is a PITA to use GB.com. Thanks. |
IMO, yes. Need to bid, wait, come back & see if someone else bid higher, bid again, come back, see if someone else bid higher, etc. etc. etc. etc. ![]() JUST SELL ME THE GUN at a decent price & I'm happy. |
Good luck with the pistol, I love my witness 10mm. some are finicky out of the box, so if it doesnt work at first, post the problem here and Ill try to help you sort it out. |

WOW! Awesome how quick you got hooked up!!! Witnesses are awesome for the price. Out of the numerous Witnesses I've owned ( at LEAST five ) I have only had issues with one and that was a shorty. All of my normal length Witnesses were flawless! Enjoy that 10mm!!!! |
If only my social life were that quick.......... ![]()
Well, between my love of gun oil on the gun & good ammo with GA Arms, I'm hoping there'll be no problems! Any thoughts on bumping up the recoil spring an extra pound or two? Do you know what the stock OEM rating is? I checked Wolff & couldn't tell the OEM rating. |
I have the 22lb spring in mine but I a going to go down to probably a 19lb and the buffer also. The stiff spring works fine with the hot loads but it does not function well with every thing else. |
omg lolololol!!! Bob, looks like the other guys gotcha covered on the OEM spring rate for the 10 mil...I've never owned a 10 mm so I've never looked up the data....but all this talk lately.....I may have to get a 10. anyhow, ENJOY THAT GUN!!! P.S. We expect pics!!!!! |
I have never had any breakages with 10mm auto, and the 10 mm round is just bad-ass. For hunting, it beats my .357 magnum, 41 and 44 hands down on distance and power, plus it is easy to shoot, meaning it doesn't hurt my eyes, ears, or hands. Just make sure the magazine in your Tangfolio Witness is the newer ones, NOT the ones with black followers - blk. followers are a sure jammer. Enjoy! |
