This gun was given to me after my grandfather passed away.  I dont know anything about its history or even how old it is.  Can any of you tell me anything about Tanfolio and the ta76 seires or .22lr?

No listing under the Tangfolio brand, but on the EAA brand, Blue Book has the following:

Model EASB - .22LR, single action revolver, 6 shot, 4-3/4" bbl. Disc. 1995. Last MSRP was $85. 100% $70, 90% $45.

Hope this helps some!

It does help. Thanks.

Is there any way I can figure out how old it really is?

Not really. Since the mfgr is no longer technically in business by their original name, most likely records have been dumped. Some bright guys may be able to give you a ballpark by eyeballing the gun & you can guesstimate when your grand-dad bought the gun, approximately. Is grandma able to help at all?

He passed away in 95.  The gun has been sitting in the top of my moms closet until just recently when she gave it to me, cause he told her a long time before he passed to make sure I got it.

Tanfoglio still exists.  They are an Italian company.

Correct.  They make 1911s (not imported to US though). They also make Springfield Armory guns (actually all the SA P-9s were Tanfoglios.).

Ever hear of a "baby desert eagle" ?? - The frame & slide castings are done by Tanfoglio. Israel Military Industries does the finish work.

And, the US importer (who does a terrible job IMHO) sells bottom of the line Tanfoglios as the "witness" line.  There are better Tanfoglios out there.

True, but they fall under the EAA name these days. Blue Book doesn't even list them by Tangfolio anymore as well.
