I love my 97b One of the most accurate and solid 45's I've ever owned. I want to remind you though that the 97b was designed to shoot ball ammo and it will without a hiccup. Mine wouldnt feed hollowpoints reliably, so I sent it back to CZ and they worked it over so now it'll feed anything even brass. Did I mention they did the work at no charge? Buy it, you won't regret it. DLaw |
i have lots of CZs, the 97 is one of them. Its not a "compact" by any since unless youre built like a BSH. Its accurate too. If you dont get the CZ, take a look AND FEEL the PO LDA series. The LDA system is real sweet. You WONT find it on anything else out there. I like my LDAs too. |

I just bought a blued one. My friend has several CZs in 9mm and 40 cal that shoot wonderful, so I made an impulse buy and bought the 97B. (I went with the 97B cause it looked like a Bren Ten to me....somewhat) I can't afford the Bren So far I have around 170 rounds through the gun, and it is starting to shoot better. At first the gun was shooting WAY left and my groups were not that good. My last trip the range my CZ was showing signs of being an accurate gun. I would guess that it will need a few hundred rounds put through it before it will shoot as good as a 1911 or HK USP. I have average size hands and I hate to say it but the CZ does not feel as good as my HK USP 45s, SIG 220 or Kimber. To be honest the EAA Witness Match 45 seem to fit my hands better. But the Witness did not have the quality name or rep like the CZ and the CZ had a barrel crown like the Bren. My thoughts on the CZ is that it is a wonderful pistol, that fore me will take a little more time getting used to. |
