i just picked up some AE .45 230GR FMJ, and it has little round nipples (metal protrusions)on the tip of the bullets, somethings went wrong. ever seen this?

I've seen these before, except they were not FMJ.
They were only partially jacketed, with a lead nipple on the tip of the bullet. I believe they were meant to help expansion.
If yours are FMJ with a nipple, then that's a new one on me.

I think I know what you are talking about however Ive only seen it on 40 s&w rounds. It doesn't seem to make any difference in performance.
