I currently have a G19 which is my CCW piece. I am having trouble chosing between a G26, Ruger MkIII Hunter(I dont know if the Hunter is worth extra $)I like the idea of having a smaller piece that I can carry easier in the summer. I also like the idea of a .22 caliber pistol just for fun. Around here I can find either within $40 of the other.

Point me in the right direction

I recently purcahsed this one and I absolutely love it! I can shoot it all day and not break the bank! It is extremely accurate. I paid $300 out the door!

I too was looking for a new pistol after I bought a 1911 and XD45. I went with the .22 since ammo for it is cheap compared to .45ACP. I can keep up on my fundamentals and/or just plain shoot the shit out of it for cheap. I have absolutely no regrets.

Maybe consider a wheelgun?  My 642 is a great alternative, warm weather pocket carry.

Might as well ask what to buy at the grocery store, IMO...............

You already have a 19, so the mags will work in the 26 if you need/want them to. OTOH, I personally always like some variety in my gun collection.

For the .22, I would go for a Browning Buckmark in the $250-300 range, a S&W 41 if you want to be upper crust about it. All others are running for second place.

+1 on the 442 as a summer gun.
