I'm looking for a holster for my 1911. Is there a M12 like the army has for the Barretta? I'm looking for something I can wear on a web type of belt. Not on my regular belt. Where to look for something like this? Thanks

M-12 fits my SA 1911 GI just fine. Now if the DOD would buy 1911's again.

I have one of the drop leg holsters from Specter gear. I also have one of their belts.  Real good stuff and not real expensive.  You will have to check on the site to see if they have the M-12 holster with the drop leg kit or give them a call.

Actually, the issue M-12 holster for the M-9 will hold a 1911 quite nicely. I just tried it with mine, and there is just enough side clearance for a railed 1911 like my Desert Warrior, and my more conventional Gov't model 1911 fit into it without any problem, too.

I have a very nice drop leg from High speed gear. It has lots of adjustment and seems to be first rate. I am waiting on another drop leg that will accomidate my surefire x200 light as well. I haven't decided if I am going to have the light on for SHTF yet. It is really handy around the house.
