| I have a Taurus PT-145 that I want to get rid of because it misfires a lot regardless of what kind of ammo I use. I'd like to buy a Para-Ord LDA pistol of some sort, but I don't know much about them. Does anyone know how reliable the LDA's are? Are there any problems that have become associated with the design since its release a few years back? And finally, has anyone else had similar problems with a PT-145 misfiring? Any solutions? Thanks. |
| I don't know anything about the Taurus, but I have a Para 7.45 LDA and let me tell you, it is sweet. it shoots great and out of the 150 rounds that I have put into it, i had 0 malfunctions or hiccups. very accurate pistol. I am not a 1911 guy i mainly shoot USP's but this thing felt better than my USP tactical. I highly recommend it. |

The LDA I shot would jam every other rd or so. OTOH, the owner picked it up & rolled thru the entire mag w/o any problems. I own a ton of semi's so I wasn't limp wristing. I'm entertaining the thought of getting a LDA sometime. Maybe a Commander size single stack? |

I REALLY wanted to like my LDA7. Trigger was rough. Slide and frame looked like they were ground by chimps. Trigger had a nasty catch in it. The extractor had no tension. The draw bar looked like it came from the prototype room. I played with one at a gun store then had my FFL order me one. It was no where near as nice as the first one I saw. |
