The Glock representative from Arringtons in Greensboro, NC came to our Police Department to do a demo. He gave an hour presentation and about an hour and a half at the range. Naturally, I was chompping at the bit to get my hands on the 21SF. I was a little suprised that there was not more of a difference between the SF and the standard 21. He gave a detailed explaination of the difference. The rep. also explained that the mags between the 21 and SF were not exactly interchangable. The size difference was only 1/8 of an inch. It felt good but I could only really tell a difference if I held both the 21 and the 21SF at the same time. I did like the tough toothy look of the SF with the picitinny rail, but the rep. explained that no duty holsters were available as of yet. The rail and the dual mag release were not accounted for yet. Argh. I fired the 30, 36, 21, and 21SF. We also fired the SigArms P229 and the Springfield XD. My Chief a former antiGlockian was swayed. The glock rep. answered all of his safety issue questions, and set his mind at ease. The 21 and the 21SF performed equally well. It looks like its between the two for new duty weapons for the department. I hope we can find duty holsters before the July purchase so we can get the SF.

Cool.

My question is, how does one become a Glock rep?

I've helped out the Glock guys at their Great Outdoors booth in years past.  The real fun begins when the range closes to the public and they pull out their G18 for some ammo therapy.

They were also pretty good about giving out goodies like their E-tool, bayonet, and all the leftover ammo you can carry once the show's over.

I'm not a huge fan of Glocks as I once was, meaning I'd rather shoot something else, but I think they're a great company making a great product.

No clue on becoming a glock representative.

I got a patch and a little screw driver.

And yes I definately requested a look at an 18- no go, but he did have a large case full of Glocks and cases upon cases of Winchester Ranger ammo.

Word is that the G21SF is now available with the Glock Rail (GR) to LE.

The difference between the G21 and G21SF may not seem like much, especially if you didn't have a problem with the standard G21 in the first place. Having smaller hands, I find the difference to be just enough to give me a better grip and better trigger reach.

Had the 21slim in my hand today at the gun shop and agree that the difference is subtle. I have to say though that the slimmer grip was needed. Really want a HK tactical but refuse to put down a grand. Already have a USP .45 and XD in .40 and am probably going to buy the new Glock here soon. An extended slide release and 3.5 lb trigger are going in it. Previous glock owner fan and need one back in my collection.
