just gotta brag on her a little bit, forgive me in advance... took her shooting for the first time Sunday... she stayed off the paper at 100 yards with an un-sighted .22 Marlin, Bushnell 3-9x scope... so did I... it was mom's rifle, and dad said it was sighted in for him at 100 feet, when he gave it to me after mom passed... must be a lot of fall in .22 LRs between 25 and 100 yards, because at 25, I put 6 of 6 in the ten ring with standard 100 yard small bore targets... so did she... :-) in a perfect world I'd have had her run a few through a .22 pistol too, but i don't have one, the smallest pistol i own is a G21. she's a tiny thing, 5'6" and 110 pounds, but she took that giant grip .45 and kept 6 of 6 on paper her first time out... I was proud... I also worry that I may have created a monster. I'm going to have to get in more practice, or she's liable to take over and start ordering me around... we can't have that... ;-) /brag off |
