| I just got a new Glock 26 and am wondering if this is correct. When the slide is locked back I can wiggle my barrel a bit from side to side. This seems normal; just like the 45 and many other pistols. However I can also move the barrel forwards and backwars about half a cm. Is this normal, or did my first dissasembly result in trouble? Everything seems to function fine. I have not yet taken it to the range though. |

When the slide is to the rear, the gun's action is unlocked and should have some play in it to allow for proper feeding/ejection. Once it returns to battery, you should not be able to move the barrel whithout moving the slide. If this is the case, then your gun is just fine. |
