I don't see much posted in here on them. Are there any shooters in AR15.com using them?
I picked up a .223 pistol on consignment and haven't shot it yet. Kinda wondering what to expect as far as recoil ? I don't know the twist yet but any advise on loading for this?
Thanks

I got one in 7-30 waters. It's a 30 cal 120 grain at about 3200fps. I've got a comped barrel. Recoil is STOUT but no muzzle rise with this comp. A .223 will be a lot less than mine. These things are tac drivers. And the size weight and the ability to switch barrels make them good for assasinations. (of game)

I used to have a 10 inch .223 Contender, and the recoil was not bad at all.  I sold it to a friend and later bought a 12 inch Encore in 44 mag, now that thing kicks like a mule.

Good looking gun there . I want this for shooting P-dogs or coyotes from the vehicle if needed . I didn't want a lot of muzzle rise while shooting off the window ledge. It is a pain moving a rifle in side the vehicle.
If the rain lets up I may get to shoot it.

I shoot mine in .223.

OK, but not as accurate as I expected. (Most likely my fault, I have trouble getting it to group well.)

7-30 waters is a .30 cal?  I thought it was a 7mm.

In Mi it is illegal but out in SD it's legal for varmints. It ruined it for me hunting back home

I ran into a small snag I picked out what parts I wanted from this guy . I wanted the receiver and a .223 barrel . I went to assemble them to take to the sheriff dept to register and the barrel is a 16"? He had the parts to go either way but I didn't look and the length and assumed it was 14".
I do have a 17hmr2 pistol barrel but wanted a .223 pistol. My gunsmith said he would make it 14" but it reads "super 16"on the side.
I have two months till our trip so I'll find another barrel.

Not if you get a permit. (Handicapped.)

I have barrels in 30 and 357 Herrett, 7-30 Waters and 7mm TCU, currently trying to talk myself out of buying a 45/70 barrel, not sure if my wrist is up to that much recoil.
