What can you say from personal experience or have heard from others about the Mec-Gar, Asian military, or Eagle pre-ban magazines?  Reliability, capacity, malfunctions?

Also if you have bought magazines from the CDNN investments inc., what was your experience with them?

Since I just bought a 92FS I need the same info. I would like a couple 15rnd. mags. The prices I've seen have been $80-$180. That is crazy, could use some help.

You guys need to start looking right here on the equipment exchange.  Factory 15 round Beretta mags in good shape go for $35-$40.  I would recommend getting a few of those. Aftermarket mags are tempting for the newbie, but once you see the difference in quality first hand, you will most likely consider $35 for a factory mag a wise investment.

I personally have only factory Beretta Mags, but I have heard nothing but good things about MecGar Mags.  Evrything else I've heard at least one malfunction story about.

The Taiwanese mags from cdnninvestments.com have functioned 100% for me, as have the Beretta factory mags.

I've got 3 of the 17rnd Eagle mags. Believe it or not, they've always ran 100%. I'm not sure how long that is going to last however.

I have 3 Mec-Gar mags. They run 100%, but sometimes don't lock the slide back.

I've got a bunch of the Asian mags too.. also run 100%, but don't always lock the slide back.

I've got 20 or so factory 15rnders and 19 of them run 100%, one gives me jams...

So are the factory Beretta mags. the only true "USGI" mags.?

I believe the only preban USGI mags are the Beretta mags like I have with the ASSY numbers on one side.  The military is now using an outside vendor for M9 mags for a while now.  The company is Checkmate.  I believe all are postban.

Its funny cause once in a while it isn't always the gun or the magazine that fails to lock the slide back.  You might have accidentally hit the slide release while you were recovering from the recoil.  I know cause I have done it before, thought that maybe it was a hot round that haven't fired yet, scariest thing that I have faced for a while.
