| Does anyone know if the compensated version of the Glock 19 effects the tragectory of the bullett over various distances? /and does it make it more accurate less accurate? |
If you're thinking about getting it for yourself and you're not a child (literally), just get the standard. I own a standard G19 and its recoil is very controllable. Out of the possible trade-offs there are for the compensated version, it's really not worth it. As far as your questions, the round will not have as much range or velocity because it isn't traveling down that long of a full barrel and once it hits those vents, all of that gas stops propelling the round and goes out the vents to stabilize the weapon. Your rounds, while not a big deal for handgun ranges, will drop faster. As far as accuracy, round by round probably won't make a difference but quick follow up shots it may be slightly more accurate because of less recoil...but only slightly and enough training could fix that with the standard G19. |

I've got the Glock 19C. The original barrel is not in the gun, but a standard non-compensated Glock 19 barrel. The only reason I got the gun was it was one hell of a deal at the time. The extra non-compensated barrel I picked up for $75. Get the standard G19! Forget the 19C! |
