Can anyone tell me about these handguns.
SW99VE
I was looking for a glock when I came across this at a gunshow. $339 IIRC. Didn't seem too bad but it's only 10+1 and I kinda wanted a high-cap. Anyone have any info on these.

Cheap knock off of a glock. Known for being unreliable.

Not for the latter versions. While I wouldn't suggest one over a XD or Glock, they're ok for the $$$ these days, IMO.

That is way too much for a new one. I bought my Dad one used LNIB for $225.

KNOWN FOR BEING RELIABLE>  SW got this one right. 500rds so far and not one failure.

They shoot well, but have a heavy trigger. I improved my fathers trigger pull by polishing the slide where the transfer bar rides until the striker release. And I put in a 4 lb wolf glock spring to replace the heavy trigger return spring in it. Fixed it up. Now it still fires at its let off at 7lbs, but has most the pull at 5 lbs.

Sorry, had a gen one 40, and the latest model 40.  Both pieces of garbage.

Get a glock for a hundred more.  Remember, you ARE betting your life on that 100 bucks.
