I have 2 silencer questions.

1. With a quality .22 pistol with quality silencer, which will be louder, the action cycling or the report? I am not talking about supersonic crack, I know that will still be there. I am strictly referring to the cycling action or report from the expanding gasses.

2. Where is a good source for threaded barrels for a Walther PPK?

Not sure why you assume a supersonic crack. With most standard .22 ammo I don't get that.

The loudest noise is the bullet striking something.

Ok good to know. Next to the bullet hitting, what is the loudest noise you can distinguish?

I would say it is the cyclic action. Not really that loud if you lube right.
