For those of you interested in buying a Springfield XD to use in IDPA competition, be advised that this pistol does NOT qualify for Stock Service Pistol class (which is the class that Glocks, Beretta's, etc.) are in. The XD's striker is fully cocked by the action of slide, which makes this a single action. Because of this fact, it competes in Enhanced Service Pistol Class, against single action 1911's, Hi-Powers, etc. In this class, it probably is at a disadvantage. |
