I`m re-posting this in the general discusion board beacuse I don`t think too many people go into the Para board. I`ve been looking at the Para Colonel pistol for a while. It is OD green, .45 ACP, 4.25" BBL with the LDA trigger. Does anyone have info on this model and how well do the LDA triggers hold up? I heard a rumor that they are on the delicate side. Is there any truth to this? |

i cant comment on the Colonel you want, but i have 3 LDAs. My first one 7.45 LDA is the Officers style model. I wasnt into the DAO style pistols until i tried it. I did have an issue of the pistol not firing, unless you fully released the trigger either 1x or 2x before the next shot. mind you this pistol was on my dealers shelf for a while and i belive it was handled/cycled alot. so who knows what people have done to it. In any case, i sent it in to PO and they fixed it. i bought 2 more LDAs. 18.9 and 14.45. both are full size and both are great. no issues like the first one so im happy. i would like to buy more, but i have other toys on the list. BTW, i probably have ~ 1k rounds thru them w/o any problems. ive shot mostly CCI al case blazers too. I havent shot any HPs thru them tho so dont know about function w/HPs. |
| If I had researched on the internet first I would have never considered an LDA based on the negative reviews/specualtion. I didn't though, and I can tell you that (although the trigger setup looks dangerously flimsy) I have never had a problem with the LDA trigger, and I have had 4 in my time. That said, Para isn't what it used to be IMO. |
