I just bought a nice S&W model 15 for $150. the only thing wrong with it is the fact that it has been carried by an officer for like 10 years and the wooden grip that was on the outside(exposed side), Is beat to all hell. so now for my Qs

1. what size frame is a model15???( N-J ect.)?

2. what would you reccomend as far as rubber grips ?

3. if you reccomend a certain kind where should i look?

Thanks for your time guys

if the 15 has "service wood grips" thickness will be about the same.

May I suggest you pass on the rubber grips & get some rosewood fingergroove style? They'll make the gun look wonderful & will actually work better than the rubber ones, i.e. won't snag on clothing.

Also, keep the old grips in case you ever trade the gun off for something better/different.

This is the route I'd go, too.

I never thought about that, i could see the rubber causing some snagging issues, then again i wont ever be using this for defenceive purposes, ill just drag it to and from the range occasionally. Basicly im just looking for something comfrotable hold. I do plan on keeping the old ones
