Dont worry your simple little head about it yankeedog. It's much to complicated to explain what a makes a 1911 a 1911.
Attention everybody!! I have just converted my Sig P229 into a sweet ass 1911!! All it took was a few simple modifications such as new grips, grip screws and a reliability enhancement job by my favorite gunsmith and viola! I have my first 1911. Now I understand what all the fuss is about.
