I'm thinking about getting a P22. Does anyone know what the price range is on these. I want the basic P22 not the 5" bbl one. Thanks |
| I have two a regular and the longer one. The first one I got I had to work on to get it reliable but now it is 100% but double action only unless you pull the hammer back but I like it that way. The second one runs fine out of the box with the last round in the mag jamming once in a while but it is a range gun so I do not care. The next .22 I get will be a Ruger 22/45. You should expect to pay between $230-$300 for a new P22. |
-2 here as well. Multiple FTF's with different mags, would only work with top notch CCI's. Got rid of it after much frustration. At rimfirecentral.com I guess you either get a good one or a POS. I got the latter. |

Fired one once. Liked it. I can't imagine field stripping is any harder than a Ruger Mk series. I love the Ruger but hate taking them apart. I plan on getting a P22. Get on gunsamerica and do a search. The prices seem very reasonable for a base model. Guns shops might get a little higher. The ones I looked at in town were about $100 or so more than the prices on gunsamerica. |
| i got one mostly with my wife in mind to lean how to shoot, good little gun but it likes ammo with a little more pep, i found that the Remington 550 round pack from walmart for something like $7 shoots like a champ has more than enough power to make the slide go back all the way to eject rounds and get enough force to feed them in all the way. so far it has gone about 3.5k rounds with no failures useing the wallyworld remington stuff. the other stuff walmart carries.. think its fed or win i cant remember would have problems left and right... man what a pain that was. |
