Which model from a major mfgr had the highest rd count of a hi-cap that was factory issue? I'm thinking it was the Glock 17, something else says at one time the P-226 tied the 17. I'm not counting the double stack 1911s, no Para's in 9mm. Thoughts????? |

No, no. Flush fit, factory issued to the unwashed masses. I knew the Glock was pretty high with a 17rd count, but I coulda sworn the P-226 came with a 15/16 rd mag????????? Beretta always had a 15rd mag, no? S&W never went more than 13/14, IIRC? High Powers were normally 14/15rds as well, I believe? H&K never went past 13/14 rds have they? SOCOM not counting, of course. |
| Russian Stechkin uses 20 round mags. So does Micro-UZI/UZI pistol. For a normal pistol, Glock or SIG would have to be up there. FN Five-SeveN uses 20-rounders. If somebody converted a MK23 to fire 9mm, you could probably have 20-rounders for that, too. Obviously, for all-time pistol high-capacity, it would have to go to the Calico. |
it seems mighty unfair not to count a double stack 1911 or the paras. the para p18 is probably the highest capacity 9mm out there with factory mags. the cz sp-01 matches it at 18 and possibly beats it with 19. now if you want to limit things you should say flush-fit factory mags in the grip and specify caliber sizes. |
