I have a Rock Island 1911 that has problems ejecting spent cases. It also has problems feeding all types of ammo. I checked the barrel to feed ramp clearance and it seems good. I bought a Wilson Combat extended Ejector. The catalog description said it helps with ejecting. How do you install the new ejector remove the old ejector? Any other hints for the feed problems? |

I'd go to the 1911 forum. They have a Troubleshooting section & Rock Island models are also discussed under the 'Other 1911's' section. www.1911forum.com/forums/ I'd check the extractor. See if it is tuned properly. 1911 forum has a desription on how to do this. Other suggestions: buy a Wilson magazine & polish feed ramp. |
