Quoted: My above post was a handgun. Registered as such in my, albeit currently backwards, home state. Can carry it legally if I get the desire. Technicalities aside, this would be a close second choice: https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/505129/IMG_7614-1234156.jpg Better? View Quote Beautiful! |

G45 MOS with Holosun in the nightstand. G19X sitting on my desk right now. P320 compact 9mm in the go bag. Taurus 85 sitting on the bar.

Nothing on the night stand as I have an almost two year old who loves to take things off my night stand. Right next to my night stand is my handgun safe. I have a Sig M18, M17, X-Compact and P365 in there. My Glocks I keep in another safe. I recently just got the Glocks in the last few weeks (19/45 MOS) but don’t have them quite set up yet. I also just got a G41 in trade that I need to get night sights for and run some ammo through it. The G41 will probably be my “night stand gun”.
In the closet right next to me I have two 1911’s, CZ Scorpion EVO and PSA 10.5”. |

nighttime is Springfield XDM 45 and a Bushmaster AR15. Yeah, there are more, but those are the OH SHIT choices |

Beretta 92a1 with surefire x300u and 20 round mags loaded with critical duty

Quoted: No one-no one-wants to see my nightstand gun. But since the OP asked, it's an S&W Sigma with a Pro-Mag rail adapter and an ancient M3 Tactical light. Two extra 16 round mags with standard pressure Hornady Critical Duty 135gr 9mm. View Quote VINTAGE!!! But will still get the deal done!! |

Hmm. Always: a Kel-tec P3AT in the side table drawer next to my chair in the living room with an extra mag and a small tactical flashlight.
Almost always: another handgun on the bar about 6 feet from my chair. This rotates through a few 9mm double stacks, a couple 1911s in .45 ACP, and a few revolvers (.38 Spl, .357 Mag, or .44 Mag). Whichever of these are out, it goes upstairs with me at night and sits on a dresser about 6 feet away from my side of the bed. |

I live on a not so great street, so I've got good outdoor lighting, and good locks. I moved here because it's the closest thing I can afford while only being a 95 second drive from my ex- and the kids (they live on a nice street).
Handgun safe next to the bed for quick access: - Beretta 92X Centurion (tricked out) with TLR-XL (it's 1000 lumens) and a 20rd mec-gar mag. - Nights when kids aren't staying with me, the safe is left open. -- below that are the CCW guns (a Glock 43X with 14+1rds AND a P365 with 12+1rds). -- hidden in the closet near the bed is a 19.5 MOS with an inforce pistol light (like 500 lumens) and 17rds (none in the chamber) as well as a 33rd happy stick next to it. The closet also contains a plate carrier and electronic ears. -------- On the other side of the bed is a small rifle safe with an AR and a 10/22 (both of which I'd feel fine using for HD, though obviously I have a preference). |

I only have the full use of one hand so my home defense gun is a Sig SP2022 with a light. I own ARs and that would be my first choice minus the handicap. Attached File

Colt !991 A1 compact.
Reverse plug (the little tab on the stock guns has a habit of breaking off). Some trigger work (set at 3 pounds but very crisp, the proverbial glass rod type action). Went through Gun Site 250 with it without problem except for factory front site came off. The Smithy at Gun Site dovetailed the slide and cleaned everything up for not much money at the time . Around $300 IIRC. It was a while ago. Like 15+ years. I used one of the instructors guns for the two days it took to fix mine. Mario M. was very kind to lend it. A well worn full size Alloy frame, and mags also. I even won the class 'shoot off.' The much younger (sill in college) gut I had the final shoot off against was very fast but not so hot on the accuracy thing. After I knocked down the small hanging disks (around 6 inches diameters) at 20 yards, 15 yards, and 10 yards I started the mandatory reload as he did. I fired on the split pepper popper and won. I did not realize he was reloading after firing 18 rounds but he had not gotten the 20 yard disk down yet. He was so upset at being so soundly beaten he started crying. I fired 5 shots (took an extra shot to get the first 20 yard disk) do down 4 targets. Sort of bang (miss), slight pause, bang again (hit), then hit, hit, required reload hit and done. It probably took me all of 14 seconds. He had fired 18 misses in the same time. Slower but accurate 'Older fart' beats the 20 year old. Only hits count. You cannot miss fast enough to win. |

Whatever I carried that day, and usually a Glock 19x on the nightstand,
