Wrapper said Glock 23 mag at GS, bought it for an extended mag for my glock 27, get it home and the mag says 357 on it. I guess a 357Sig glock 32 mag will work in the .40.

40/357 Sig mags are the same since 40 is the parent case for the 357 Sig.
It'll run just fine.

The followers can be different between the 40 and 357 but it should not effect function.  I have several different variations of the 357 and 40 followers in 40 and 357 mags that I used in my G32/23/27 and never had issues.

I bought a .357 Sig marked magazine for my .40 Sig 239 once, thinking they would be the same. It did not fit, traded it for a .40 mag.

What am I missing, or what did I do wrong?

I think the 239 is the exception to the rule. IIRC a 239 .40 will work for 357Sig but 357Sig mags won't work in .40 in the 239

Thanks!

If I recall correctly, the .357 wouldn't lock into place. Which is a shame, because I got the brand new .357 mag dirt cheap, much cheaper than the .40.

Back durimg the AWB, the only non 10 round mags I could get for my G32 were pre-ban G23 .40 mags.  Had to find 357sig followers for them to feed 100%.  Still have those mags too.
