Hi guys - great board!
Which guns would you choose, if you had to choose two (not budget limit)? Thanks |

If I had to choose just two guns, one would be an AR-15 and depending on situation either in 6.5 Grendel or 5.56/223. My second gun would be a pistol, probably a Glock 17 or 19 but 1911's are very tempting. Realistically I can't see me getting down to just two guns. I probably shoot my Advantage Arms conversion kits on dedicated Glock and 1911 frames more than my other pistols. I have several Glock pistols I use for CCW. I shoot my dedicated 22 LR AR-15's most followed by 6.5 Grendel AR-15's and 5.56/223 AR's.
I come from a Law Enforcement background so I think in terms of LE or military use. In certain situations I could see me being happy with a 45 Long Colt revolver and a 45 Colt Lever gun. In the same vein a 38/357 revolver and a 38/357 lever gun can be a lot of fun. |

AR-15 and a Glock 19
Widely available ammo with a variety of choices for both guns. The AR can be used for home defense, target shooting, and for hunting animals up to the size of whitetail deer. The Glock 19 is an utterly reliable personal defense pistol that has a large enough capacity to be effective if needed but can still be concealed. Can't go wrong with them. |

No-lock S&W 642 for honest every day carry, and a bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-06. Boring, but would fill my practical applications.
Number three would be a 4" .38 service revolver, number four an AR15, number five a .22LR rifle, number six a 9mm service handgun, and so on. |
