I did a mini hammer gun shootout yesterday. FNX 9 vs P30 vs P226.

I am not a fan of the safety levers on the p30 and FNX. I found that they dug in to the strong hand thumb pretty good. I shot the best groups with the P30. The p226 shot the smoothest and had the best trigger. It was my first time shooting an FNX or P30. Been awhile since I shot a p226 because I wrote them off as being outdated, but they are sweet for sure.

I liked the sig enough that I may get a p229 or p226 legion this week.

Of your listed the P226.  Of hammer fired I would choose a CZ SP-01.

Well, to be fair your title refers to hammer guns in general and the poll title is which is your favorite.

"Of the 3 I tested which is your favorite" might have been a better title.

I voted 226 because I own one and shoot well with it and it fits my hand perfectly.. but I've never shot or handled the other two.

Sigs are just too sketchy now to roll the dice.  Older the better.

That is kind of a stretch......  while I like the 226 the most they are all good quality pistols that do the exact same thing.

I'd choose the P226 due to positive personal experience but you really can't go wrong with any of those three.

P226. The P30 has the shittiest DA/SA trigger of all time, and the FNX is squishy, and just plain gross.

Which trigger on P30 and which trigger on P226?  Without this information, your post is meaningless.

I would put a light LEM P30 up against a P226 DAK any day.

Also P30s have never had the quality issues that SIG did.

I no longer have any of those, having got rid of the P30 for not fitting my hand and the FNX for being inferior to my FNS.   I am looking at picking up a P226 Elite SAO but if it doesn't work out, I won't lose any sleep over it.

I prefer Beretta and CZ if a hammer is going to be involved.

CZ and Sig for me honestly.  The FNX never tickled my fancy was never a fan of the texture.  The P30 is cool but the price of the pistol plus mags was a huge turn off especially when I like the Sig\CZ more.

CZ, preferably alloy or steel framed. Although, I do like the latest iteration of the P07

Of the OP's list, the P226 hands down...

Very choice pistol Edge! The steel/aluminum frame, hammer fired CZ's are a nearly perfect choice for me... My favorite "hammer fired" pistol ever is the CZ (P-01), with the (SP-01) you mentioned being a very close second; a Springer LW Champion Operator a close 3rd, and most if not all 3rd gen Smiths right after that!
