I should be getting a Meprolight front sight for my USP 45 Tactical in the mail today. And it seems fucking stupid to pay 100 dollars for a tool I'd likely only ever use once.

Is there any tricks of the trade you guys have on changing a sight without buying an expensive tool?

I just use an old maple drum stick cut down to fit.
Installed three sets of NS this way, never left a mark.
