It would be fun for messin around with at the range. I actually have given a small amount of thought to putting one together from a 17 and 43, but have not done anything with it. And I'm one that doesn't care about the ohh you're killing what it was made for with those +3 exts. Go fly a kite, it gives me a full grip and I love it, TT +3 and +2's are awesome. |

I prefer Taran +1s for carry and +3s for reloads.
Is the shield cheaper? Yes, and if I were to suggest a gun for general concealed carry to someone not already invested in Glocks, the Shield wins. But the G43 IS smaller and IS more similar to a full size Glock. So for a Glock guy with a G19, the G43 comes out on top. For someone with only service sized pistols or no defensive pistols at all, the Shield is a great compromise. |
