Whats the consensus of this pistol? I'm really thinking about one for a range gun. With the Powder River Precision trigger that seems pretty easy to install at home i would get a pistol with a pretty long sight radius,a match grade barrel, adjustable fiber optic sights and a trigger pull between 21/2-3 pounds..or..am i better served with the S&W M&P 5" pro series which is about $100.00 cheaper. And then put in a Apex trigger?..Tho i'm not sure if Apex can get down to the 21/2-3 pound range..

The XDm is a good pistol it all comes down the user preference.  I prefer Glock and Sig to SA and M&Ps.  I own M&Ps and like them but do not love them.  Next person who post may love M&Ps or hate them.  Comes down to what you like and what feel good for you.  No matter which you choose you will have a good to go pistol.

Found a very good buy on Armslist for the XDM competition. I pulled the trigger on that then ordered the PRP extreme trigger. I'm excited to see how it'll run

I'm running one (9mm) right now for practical and 3-gun shooting. I love it.

Mine has been 100% reliable.

Its' accurate and the only thing I've changed on it is the striker (roll) pin which I replaced with an enhanced version.

Several others at the club are running them in either 9mm or 40 S&W.
