I talked to the Chip McCormick customer representative to ask them questions about the beavertail grip safety I put on my Kimber Pro Carry II.  It seems that the tip of the arm on the beavertail tapers and thins out at the tip that keeps it from disengaging the firing pin safety.  I asked them if this is normal on all of their grips safeties, (stock mil spec grip safeties do not taper out).  The reply I got was all of their grip safeties are all 70 series and it should work.  After spending 10 minutes telling him that the Kimber is a schwartz safety not a Colt 80 series.  hinking.gifIt was pretty apparent that this guy does not know what he is talking about, (he constantly kept putting me on hold to answers from somebody else)

Having been in this position myself regarding issues at work, I feel for the guy. Chances are he has a list of FAQ & your wasn't on the list & he wasn't yet up to speed yet.

I'd suggest either calling back for a different person or politely asking the guy to let you speak to someone else. At least he didn't try to bullshit you, did he? He at least attempted to ask someone else, no?
